* actually, 3 seconds is enoughLeah Woods2016-05-201-1/+1
| | | | | According to damo22 on IRC, PS/2 only needs 1.2 seconds. Coreboot sets it 3s by default, so let's just use coreboot's default setting.
* SeaGRUB: reduce timeout from 60s to 6sLeah Woods2016-05-201-1/+1
| | | | | Still higher than default, but tolerable now for those using headless systems.

* Remove ThinkPad R500 support (wasn't ready for production use yet anyway)Francis Rowe2016-03-111-2/+2
| | | | | | R500 support in its current state should not be merged in the master branch. This will likely not make it into the immediate upcoming release. This patch will be reverted in a separate experimental branch, for the time being.
* build system: allow arbitrary specification of number of cores usedFrancis Rowe2016-03-101-1/+12
| | | | | | | Use NPROC=foo Replace "foo" with a number. By default, the build system uses $(nproc). This patch allows the user to specify any number of cores. This is useful on some systems, or certain chroot environments.
* build scripts: use $(nproc) not "$(nproc)" for make -j optionFrancis Rowe2016-03-101-1/+1
|
* copy coreboot directory per revision, not per boardFrancis Rowe2016-03-071-8/+24
| | | | | This will speed up the build process. The plan is to, if possible, always use 1 revision.
* New board: Intel D510MOFrancis Rowe2016-01-301-2/+2
|
* New board: ASUS KCMA-D8 desktop/workstation motherboardFrancis Rowe2016-01-301-2/+2
|
* build/roms/withgrub: don't build vesafb images for ga-g41m-es2lFrancis Rowe2016-01-051-2/+2
| | | | Only text mode works on this board.
* Use different coreboot revisions and patches per boardFrancis Rowe2016-01-041-17/+19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The release archives will be bigger, but this is a necessary change that makes libreboot development easier. At present, there are boards maintained in libreboot by different people. By doing it this way, that becomes much easier. This is in contrast to the present situation, where a change to one board potentially affects all other boards, especially when updating to a new version of coreboot. Coreboot-libre scripts, download scripts, build scripts - everything. The entire build system has been modified to reflect this change of development. For reasons of consistency, cbfstool and nvramtool are no longer included in the util archives.
* build/roms/*: remove coreinfo-related instructionsFrancis Rowe2015-12-131-6/+0
|
* remove seabios (this time permanently)Francis Rowe2015-12-131-4/+0
|
* New payload: CoreinfoKlemens Nanni2015-12-091-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add coreinfo as optional payload providing various useful system information. As part of coreboot, coreinfo does not need to be downloaded seperately, just build it using $ ./build module coreinfo after downloading and building coreboot. See https://www.coreboot.org/Payloads#Coreinfo for more information.
* build/roms/*: Don't put lbversion file in CBFS (no longer needed)Francis Rowe2015-12-061-3/+0
| | | | We now tell coreboot's build system what version string to use.
* build/roms/*: use .coreboot-version, not lbversion in CBFSFrancis Rowe2015-12-061-3/+2
|
* build/roms/*: put libreboot version in .coreboot-version fileFrancis Rowe2015-12-061-0/+1
| | | | | This is one of the things needed, for building coreboot in a reproducible fashion.
* roms/withgrub_helper: Slight commenting changesKlemens Nanni2015-11-211-11/+8
|
* Don't build ifdtool. Not needed in libreboot.Francis Rowe2015-11-061-3/+0
|
* scripts: say ROM images, not ROM's. ROM's is wrong!Francis Rowe2015-11-061-3/+3
|
* build/roms/withgrub_helper: use quotes where neededFrancis Rowe2015-11-061-1/+1
|
* roms/withgrub_helper: Create correct ROM layoutsKlemens Nanni2015-11-061-0/+3
| | | | | | | find bin/grub [...] also searches other boards' ROMs and thus would print a ROM layout not neccessarily belonging to the same board images got built for.
* KGPE-D16: update patch set (also update coreboot and vboot)Francis Rowe2015-10-191-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | Also contains other fixes from coreboot, like: * 551cff0 Derive lvds_dual_channel from EDID timings. ^ makes single/dual channel LVDS selection on GM45 automatic * 26fc544 lenovo/t60: Enable native intel gfx init. ^ was being maintained in libreboot, now upstreamed so not needed Framebuffer mode was disabled for the KGPE-D16, because only text-mode works at the moment.
* build/roms/withgrub_helper: add the SeaBIOS payloadFrancis Rowe2015-10-151-0/+4
| | | | Forgot to do this during rebase
* New board: ThinkPad R500 (experimental)Francis Rowe2015-09-201-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The ich9deblob and ich9gen utilities were modified, so that they support reading and/or writing descriptor images where the GbE region is not defined. These utilities were also re-factored and tidied up a bit. A quick was noticed during the course of this work, in that Compenent 1 Density was being set to 8MiB constantly, even on systems with 4MiB flash chips. Component 2 Density was set statically to 2MiB. ich9gen now sets both to 4MiB or 8MiB, depending on whether building the descriptor for a 4MiB or 8MiB ROM image. There are still some ACPI bugs (see docs/hcl/r500.html), which will have to be fixed upstream. TODO: get hw reg dumps from a factory R500, and compare with the X200 or T400 dumps.
