* Remove ThinkPad R500 support (wasn't ready for production use yet anyway)Francis Rowe2016-03-112-24/+4
| | | | | | R500 support in its current state should not be merged in the master branch. This will likely not make it into the immediate upcoming release. This patch will be reverted in a separate experimental branch, for the time being.
* build/dependencies: Check architecture only onceKlemens Nanni2016-03-112-26/+21
|
* build system: allow arbitrary specification of number of cores usedFrancis Rowe2016-03-105-12/+67
| | | | | | | Use NPROC=foo Replace "foo" with a number. By default, the build system uses $(nproc). This patch allows the user to specify any number of cores. This is useful on some systems, or certain chroot environments.
* build/grub: Change wording, use a subshellKlemens Nanni2016-03-101-7/+9

* build scripts: use $(nproc) not "$(nproc)" for make -j optionFrancis Rowe2016-03-104-11/+11

|
* download/crossgcc: Don't delete coreboot filesFrancis Rowe2016-03-073-12/+8
| | | | Turns out there are needed parts.
* build/module/crossgcc: Don't automatically clean crossgcc when buildingFrancis Rowe2016-03-071-2/+0
| | | | Remember. One task. Do it well.
* build/module/crossgcc: Allow user to specify what architectures they wantFrancis Rowe2016-03-071-4/+10
| | | | | By default, libreboot will built for all relevant architectures, but this patch allows the user to skip some if they want to.
* Download, compile and clean crossgcc separately to corebootFrancis Rowe2016-03-076-37/+117
| | | | | | | | This means that coreboot can be re-downloaded and re-built without affecting crossgcc. The crossgcc directory also now only contains crossgcc; previously, it contained the entire coreboot source code too, which was unneeded because that directory was just for crossgcc, where the real coreboot directories symlink to it during the build process.
* download/coreboot: Add backup repository for corebootFrancis Rowe2016-03-071-1/+1
| | | | | Download from the backup repository, if the main repository is unavailable. Coreboot.org is sometimes offline, so it's nice to have a backup.
* download/coreboot: Fix error that caused .git not to be deleted in crossgccFrancis Rowe2016-03-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | For the crossgcc archive, we were deleting *.git, but this is wrong. It meant that yes, we were deleting the .git directory, but not the .gitmodules file, which meant that 3rdparty repositories were being cloned when re-adding our own deblobbed .git directory. This patch fixes that freedom bug.
* download/grub: use http:// if git:// failsFrancis Rowe2016-03-071-1/+1
| | | | | | At the time, Savannah had an issue cloning from git:// for GRUB. They probably fixed this already, but http:// worked alternatively. So add a catch that makes it download from http:// if git:// fails
* download/coreboot: Add missing trailing slash to directory pathFrancis Rowe2016-03-071-1/+1
|
* download/coreboot: fix build issue (unknown command)Francis Rowe2016-03-071-1/+1
|
* copy coreboot directory per revision, not per boardFrancis Rowe2016-03-076-127/+265
| | | | | This will speed up the build process. The plan is to, if possible, always use 1 revision.

| | | | | | | I'm an idiot. This patch wasn't supposed to be pushed yet because not finished. Reverting it for the time being. This reverts commit 89cc8c38c1cf3865c3684e5bd6658eedf0e61cfd.

* Use different coreboot revisions and patches per boardFrancis Rowe2016-01-0413-289/+372
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The release archives will be bigger, but this is a necessary change that makes libreboot development easier. At present, there are boards maintained in libreboot by different people. By doing it this way, that becomes much easier. This is in contrast to the present situation, where a change to one board potentially affects all other boards, especially when updating to a new version of coreboot. Coreboot-libre scripts, download scripts, build scripts - everything. The entire build system has been modified to reflect this change of development. For reasons of consistency, cbfstool and nvramtool are no longer included in the util archives.

* New payload: CoreinfoKlemens Nanni2015-12-092-0/+45
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add coreinfo as optional payload providing various useful system information. As part of coreboot, coreinfo does not need to be downloaded seperately, just build it using $ ./build module coreinfo after downloading and building coreboot. See https://www.coreboot.org/Payloads#Coreinfo for more information.
