* Fix project usage actionAndrew Robbins2019-10-301-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | The project's scripts were never sourced before calling usage(), causing project_action() to fail. project_action_usage() should be used only when a project's scripts have not yet been sourced otherwise its call to project_include() would be redundant.
* libreboot: Set max loop iteration in for loopAndrew Robbins2019-03-281-4/+2

* Don't display paths in libreboot_usage() outputAndrew Robbins2019-01-091-2/+2
|
* Print libreboot usage to stdout, not stderrAndrew Robbins2019-01-091-24/+24
| | | | | Makes things simpler if piping the usage output to less, for example.
* Require grep, mkfs.fat, mtools mmd and mcopyAndrew Robbins2018-12-281-1/+1
| | | | | | grep, mkfs.fat, mmd, and mcopy are used to make a bootable GRUB floppy image. Quotes were removed to salvage some space in order to avoid going over 80 characters.

* Remove overlooked braces from parameter expansionsAndrew Robbins2017-09-221-61/+61
| | | | | | | | | | This is a continuation of the last set of commits removing braces from parameter expressions which do not require them. The main script was overlooked when applying the previous changes, which this commit aims to correct. Also, one parameter expansion in libs/common was corrected as it was overlooked as well.
* Add copyright noticeAndrew Robbins2017-07-221-0/+1

* Make 'sources' consequent prettierAndrew Robbins2017-07-221-6/+6
| | | | | | | Removes an unnecessary subshell grouping and 'set' statement and replaces it with a good ol' if/then/else construct. Also added a message printed to stdout informing the user of the change from extraction to downloading if source extraction fails.
* Create array PROJECT_ACTIONS_GENERIC_IGNORE_CHECKAndrew Robbins2017-07-211-1/+3
| | | | | | | Located in libs/project, this array's elements are compared with actions in PROJECTS_ACTIONS_GENERIC when libreboot_setup_project_actions() is called. This makes it simpler to add/remove actions which should/shouldn't have a corresponding check function in PROJECT_ACTIONS.
* Create array TOOL_ACTIONS_GENERIC_IGNORE_CHECKAndrew Robbins2017-07-211-1/+3
| | | | | | | Located in libs/tool, this array's elements are compared with actions in TOOLS_ACTIONS_GENERIC when libreboot_setup_tool_actions() is called. This makes it simpler to add/remove actions which should/shouldn't have a corresponding check function in TOOL_ACTIONS.
* Move libreboot_setup_include() (for symmetry)Andrew Robbins2017-07-211-16/+16
|
* Add libreboot_setup_tool_actions()Andrew Robbins2017-07-211-0/+16
| | | | | | | | | The added function is a complement to libreboot_setup_project_actions() which moves generation of the TOOL_ACTIONS array out of libs/tool and into the main script for greater malleability. Notably, the proper elements are now included in the array.
* Add libreboot_setup_project_actions()Andrew Robbins2017-07-211-0/+16
| | | | | | | The added function is called after all files in libs/ have been sourced and provides the correct action sequence for 'test'. Importantly, this function avoids providing undefined 'usage_check' and 'clean_check' actions.
* Make the 'test' action functional againAndrew Robbins2017-07-201-4/+4
| | | | | | When PROJECT_ACTIONS changed from having a string to an array of strings as its value that change was not reflected in the main script. This commit addresses that issue.
* Avoid exploiting local variables' dynamic scopingAndrew Robbins2017-07-191-2/+3
| | | | | | | | Local variables 'epoch_path' and 'rnd_seed_path' are moved from libreboot_setup_variables() to libreboot_setup_reproducible_builds_variables() in order to keep things more-or-less lexical in the source code (local variables in Bash are dynamic in scope).

* Replace calls to 'cat' w/ input redirectionAndrew Robbins2017-07-181-3/+3
|
* Move vars CONFIG_SHELL,EDITOR,TASKS to libs/commonAndrew Robbins2017-07-181-4/+0
|
* Simplify libreboot_setup_variables() w/ new func.Andrew Robbins2017-07-181-19/+23
| | | | | Reproducibility-related variable assignments are moved to a separate function in order to make libreboot_setup_variables() less busy.
* Rely less on word splitting by using arraysAndrew Robbins2017-07-141-2/+2
| | | | | | | Arrays are just a better idea for storing multiple strings than relying on word splitting. Consequently, several global variables in libs/* were switched to arrays and any references to said variables modified to expand to the arrays' elements.
* Enable 'extglob' and replace some brace expansionsAndrew Robbins2017-07-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | Replace brace expansions with extended globs in a couple of places where brace expansions were erroneously used in place of actual pattern matching. This avoids potential errors concerning nonexisting files when patching sources.
* Removed cruft & redundancy in project_action*()Andrew Robbins2017-07-071-3/+1

* Added functions for downloading/patching archivesAndrew Robbins2017-06-281-1/+1
| | | | i.e., source tarballs are (partially) supported
* Replaced '#!/bin/bash' w/ '#!/usr/bin/env bash'Andrew Robbins2017-06-231-1/+1
| | | | | This is mainly useful for being able to run these scripts on BSDs. And for users who use a Bash not installed to /bin.
* Remove unnecessary 'env' invocation from printf.Andrew Robbins2017-06-231-25/+25
| | | | | This reverts part of pull request #217 which called the 'env' binary for each printf invocation.
* Fixed printf calls & replaced 'echo' w/ printf.Andrew Robbins2017-06-231-25/+25
| | | | | | | | | All printf calls should now be properly formatted; prior, the format specifier string was erroneously used for both the format specifiers and the string to be printed. 'env' is now used to locate the printf binary so as to avoid potentially using a shell builtin. Lastly, all calls to 'echo' within the new build system have been replaced with printf for consistency/portability purposes.
* Added vars RANDOM_SEED, LIBFAKETIME_PATH + misc.Andrew Robbins2017-06-191-14/+32
| | | | | | | | All environment variables necessary for creating reproducible builds should now be present. If libfaketime is not linked then the only reproducibility-related variables SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH and RANDOM_SEED (gcc flag -frandom-seed) will be used. -frandom-seed will be added in a later commit.
* Calls to external command 'realpath' replaced w/ 'readlink -f'.Andrew Robbins2017-05-191-1/+1

* Idiomatical modifications and safer variable expansion added.Andrew Robbins2017-05-121-108/+75

* make vi default text editor in main build script, instead of nanoLeah Rowe2017-01-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | GNU Nano sucks. Vi is better. I'd tell the build system to use Vim, but that's not guaranteed to be installed. Vi is installed on more systems by default, compared to Nano, because Vi is the de facto standard text editor or unix and unix-like systems.

* Paper build system initial import into LibrebootPaul Kocialkowski2017-01-151-0/+262
This is the initial import of the Paper build system into Libreboot. It was written as a flexible and painless replacement for the Libreboot build system, allowing to support many different configurations. It currently only supports the following CrOS devices: * Chromebook 13 CB5-311 (nyan big) * Chromebook 14 (nyan blaze) * Chromebook 11 (HiSense) (veyron jerry) * Chromebit CS10 (veyron mickey) * Chromebook Flip C100PA (veyron minnie) * Chromebook C201PA (veyron speedy) The build system also supports building various tools and provides various scripts to ease the installation on CrOS devices.
